Year 4 - Sydney
This year the classes have been named after Olympic cities, and our year 4 class has been lucky enough to get the name Sydney. Sydney is the second largest city in Australia and is famous for its opera house, harbour bridge and many other interesting buildings. It also has its own artificial coral reef which year 4 will be looking at to identify the pros and cons of these structures. Sydney is home to many tribes of aboriginal people, the first of which to live in the area of Sydney were the Eora tribe. Year 4 will be learning all about aboriginal art and even creating their own masterpieces.
